Accessibility Statement
RxToYou wants this site to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion enabled. This page says what we have done, how we checked it, and what we know is still outstanding.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This site is currently partially conformant, which means most of the standard is met but we have not completed a full audit and some criteria have not yet been verified. The specific gaps are listed under Known limitations.
What has been done
- Color contrast. Every text and background pairing on the page was measured programmatically against the background it actually composites onto, in both the dark and light palettes. All pairings meet or exceed the AA thresholds — 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text. Two brand colors were deliberately darkened from the product palette to reach that bar.
- Keyboard access. Every link, button and expandable section can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and the focused element is always visibly outlined.
- Skip link. A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing a keyboard or screen-reader user reaches, so the navigation can be bypassed.
- Page structure. The page uses real landmarks — header, main, footer — with headings in order and each navigation region labelled, so a screen reader can move through the page by structure.
- The portal illustration. The dashboard graphic is exposed as a single image with a text description covering what it shows and the assumptions behind its figures, and the same assumptions are repeated as ordinary text below it.
- Expandable questions. The FAQ uses the browser's native disclosure elements rather than custom scripting, so it works with assistive technology without relying on JavaScript.
- Reduced motion. If your system is set to reduce motion, transitions and smooth scrolling are switched off.
- Text sizing and zoom. Type is set in relative units, so it responds to a larger default text size set in your browser as well as to page zoom. The layout reflows to a single column down to a 390-pixel-wide screen without horizontal scrolling.
- No motion traps. Nothing on the site autoplays, flashes, moves on its own, or imposes a time limit.
How this was assessed
Assessment was carried out during development by the team building the site, using automated contrast measurement of the rendered page in both themes, keyboard-only navigation, and inspection of the page structure and text alternatives. It was not an independent third-party audit.
Known limitations
We would rather name these than imply they do not exist:
- No screen-reader testing yet. The markup was built to be read correctly, but it has not been tested with NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver by a regular user of those tools. That testing is the most valuable next step.
- No independent audit. Several WCAG criteria cannot be checked automatically and need human review against the full standard.
